Transformer Rewind & Repair
In our main plant in Burnaby, Beaver Electrical can service both dry type and oil filled transformers.
Common Issues We Can Address:
- Shorted turns
- Blown coils from lightning damage or overvoltage
- Water damage
- Broken or leaking bushings
- Damaged and/or leaking radiators
Routine Tests Performed to Confirm Transformer Performance:
- Dielectric test
- TTR (Turns Ratio) test
- Winding resistance test
- No-load loss test
- Load loss and impedance test
- Pressure test to check for leaks on gaskets and other joints
With the overhead doors 15 feet high and a lifting capacity 20 tons we can handle transformers up to 5000 kVA.
