Product Description
600 VOLT 3PH
Beaver's GIP series of panels indicates the presence of voltage on each phase of a three-phase delta connected system. The transformer type lamp elements illuminate when voltage is present. When a ground-fault occurs, it causes the lamp on the faulted phase to dim and the other phases to grow brighter.
Ungrounded AC systems are required by the United States National Electrical Code (NEC) Article 250.21(B) and the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) 10-106 (2) to have ground detectors, such as a Beaver GIP, installed on the system.
Beaver GIP panels are fitted with unique transformer type lamp elements and can operate on systems up to 600 VAC without PTs. The front panel voltage is a mere 6 VAC and may be safer than other panels from other manufacturers for simialr purposes. GIP panels are c-ETL-us listed as conforming to CSA and UL standards.

The GIP-6 is designed for use only on a 600 volt, 3-phase system. Do not use a GIP-6 with any other system voltage.
